Access to quality energy efficiency services for households and building owners in Kyrgyzstan is limited outside Bishkek. This IKI Small Grants project increases the availability of qualified energy efficiency experts in Bishkek, Jalalabad, Osh and Batken. It will help improve the high energy intensity of Kyrgyzstan's economy and construction sector. In addition, the project contributes to the implementation of Kyrgyzstan's energy and climate policy. The project is aimed at independent energy efficiency consultants, as well as aspiring professionals in related disciplines such as engineering, energy, architecture and construction. Special attention is paid to youth and women. The project promotes the development of technical and entrepreneurial skills of local consultants to obtain state accreditation. It supports consultants in networking and knowledge sharing, promotes the energy efficiency sector among young graduates, and facilitates policy dialogue between experts, technology providers, and government.
